About Us

Empowering Education, Transforming Lives

The Unity J McGill (UJM) Foundation is dedicated to bridging the gap for equal access to education in Liberia, West Africa. Our core mission is to eradicate poverty through education by subsidizing tuition for college-ready students. We believe that education is the key to unlocking brighter futures and empowering individuals to rise above their circumstances.

Community Engagement and Holistic Development

Our approach goes beyond financial aid. We work closely with local communities to identify and support students who have the potential to drive positive change. We also focus on holistic development by providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. This ensures that our impact is sustainable and aligned with the community’s needs.

Partnering for Change

Liberia faces significant challenges in delivering quality education due to economic and infrastructure constraints. The UJM Foundation collaborates with local organizations to align our efforts with broader educational policies. Together, we’re committed to creating measurable improvements in educational outcomes and contributing to the development of Liberia’s human capital.

A Vision for the Future: The Library Project

Building Knowledge, Empowering Minds

Education is not just about access—it’s about the quality of that access. To truly empower Liberia’s students, we must provide them with the tools they need to succeed. That’s why the UJM Foundation is committed to building a state-of-the-art library equipped with cutting-edge technology, modern books, and resources. This library will serve as a beacon of knowledge and a center for learning, offering students the chance to explore, grow, and excel.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 to make this vision a reality. With your help, we can create a space where students not only dream of a better future but also have the resources to achieve it. This library will be a cornerstone of educational advancement in Liberia, offering a place where knowledge and opportunity converge.

Donate Today—Transform a Student’s Future

Liberia’s students face enormous challenges, but with your help, we can change their future. A donation of just $2 a day, or $500 a year, is enough to cover a student’s college tuition. Your contribution directly impacts their lives, opening doors to opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach. But we can’t stop there—these students also need access to modern books, resources, and technology to thrive.

Support the Library Project

Our vision for the library is bold, but it’s essential. This library will provide students with access to the latest information and resources, ensuring they are equipped to succeed in an increasingly competitive world. Your donation will help build this critical resource, making a lasting impact on countless lives.
